In July of 2014, Aloka Consulting & Training facilitated the development of a much-needed Action Plan for us at Shuswap Food Action Co-op. It was intended to cover a one-year period. In spite of the enormity of the task, which included guiding 20 energized personalities to consensus about especially difficult issues, Aloka marshalled our thoughts, conversations, and debates into a cohesive and achievable plan of action that surpassed its expiry date.

Aloka’s presentation protocols, materials, and group activities were engaging, motivational, and exceptionally effective. As well, their final report that chronicled our planning activities and decisions was clear and helpful—and still in use over two years later. We now have a vision and mission statement that guides all our initiatives.

We recommend Aloka Consulting & Training to any group, large or small, looking for skilled facilitators to help them articulate clear goals and achieve effective action.

I highly recommend the facilitation services of Aloka Consulting & Training. The Federal Liberal Riding Association in North Okanagan Shuswap engaged Aloka for two facilitated planning sessions in 2016. The facilitators listened to what we needed to achieve, did their research and came well prepared. The sessions were very well run, fun and productive. We came away with a well-crafted Action Plan which established clear and attainable goals.

The plan also established a schedule for regular review and adjustment. I have attended many facilitated planning sessions over the years and never have had such a sound plan to follow at the end. They do a great job!
